2×13: Glyph

2x13

First of all, I’d like to apologize for our inactivity recently. Hiatuses are always difficult to come back from, which is why we’ve decided not to pay attention to them anymore. Despite the seven-week break that’s coming up after next week’s episode, “Jacksonville,” you’ll still be able to catch new Fringe news and articles here at Walter’s Lab.

But first: a glyph. Episode thirteen, “The Bishop Revival,” gave us a glyph that expanded our alphabet. Up until now, we’d never seen the letter ‘F’ in a pre-commercial glpyh, but we did for the first time last night, and we learned that it was an embryo apple with a glowing dot to the lower right.

The glyph itself was “father,” most likely referring to Walter’s father, Robert Bishoff, from the episode. However, it could also refer to the relationship between Walter and Peter, especially considering that the Walter we know and love isn’t really Peter’s father — the alternate dimension Walter is. Perhaps we’ll be meeting the alternate dimension Walter soon?

Check back next week for commentary on the next glyph. In the meantime, stick around for more Fringe news and investigation.
