“The Bishop Revival” Pulls ‘Fringe’ Up 2 Million Viewers

FringeBannerAs I posted earlier today on TVOvermind, “The Bishop Revival” was one of the most-viewed episodes of Fringe’s second season. While last week’s “What Lies Below” was able to get only about 7 million viewers, “The Bishop Revival” managed to pick up a whopping 8.9 million viewers. That’s a raise of almost 2 million viewer raise. Fringe was competing against mostly reruns, however, so don’t expect the viewership to stick next week, when CSI, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Office all return with brand new episodes.

This is good news for Fringe, however, considering that “The Bishop Revival” was the secondmost viewed episode of the season, after “A New Day in the Old Town.” Hopefully, this will secure Fringe’s third season, which has been up in the air at FOX for quite a while. We’ll keep you posted on viewership throughout the rest of the season, and hopefully through a third season as well.
