The main focus of episode 4, The Arrival, was an object called The Beacon.
This object came out of the ground at the beginning of the episode, and we learn that it has appeared one other time, at Quantico in 1987. The first time it appeared, there was an explosion 48 hours later and the object fell back into a whole in the Earth. The object also vibrates at 2 MHz and again at 4 MHz.
We also know that the Observer (or CBG) can not touch the object for some reason, and John Mosley, a mob killer, wanted the object VERY badly.
