Loeb’s wife also gives Olivia this sheet of paper with random numbers all over it and explains that it was with the items that Loeb brought back with him from Germany. Later, Charlie discovers that the numbers are actually not random. Each line has a number that coresponds to a case file out of the local Boston office. In addition there is an id number for the agent or agents assigned to the case. This implies that there is in fact another mole in the Boston field office, since John Scott didn’t have enough clearance to obtain such data. One of the lines on the sheet is a phone number to Joseph Smith, in Boston, and seems to have been a possible contact person with the mole in question.
