Yet, this 'blight' is somehow still affecting them. Very strange, you'd think they'd easily find another planet and make it hospitable, work around this 'blight', or fix it. So considering they are still looking for a way to escape, that means everything within that universe is going through a "blight". The laws of physics are literally breaking to nothingness.
