2×13: Hidden Apple Glyph

The eagle-eyed folks over at Fringepedia managed to capture a screenshot from “The Bishop Revival” that honestly made me doubt my powers of observation. The folks who make Fringe often throw in easter eggs to their episodes; that’s no secret. But this easter egg is so obviously placed that it makes me wonder how I could have missed it. So, without any further ado, I present to you: the apple in the chair!

What does it mean? Well, I can’t say that I think it means that much, symbolically. Most likely, it’s simply a little thrown-in touch that the producers do just to make sure we’re watching closely. What do you think?
